Villa Domenicale is in the borders of an old Venetian village which is 17 km from Corfu town and it’s airport. By just standing at the veranda you can spot the beautiful landscape and the sea which is only 1.5 km away. Domenicale is in the northeast of Corfu, which happens to be the most beautiful part of the whole island. Alongside the coast you can find breathtaking beaches which offer you great nightlife and boat rental. The positioning of the villa is ideal not only because of the beach nearby but also because it is located between town and countryside which enables great sightseeing. The health care centre is only 2.4 km away. There are only 200 meters separating the house from an old Byzantine church with beautiful affrescos. The house and its surroundings create a big deal of outdoor activities including hiking, walking and mountain biking. The beach nearby offers water sports of all kind, even paragliding. Finally the house has a gorgeous view to the northeast.

Exclusive location

Villa Domenicale is located in the area of Aghios Markos. Named after the patron saint of the Most Serene Republic of Venice, Agios Markos (one of the oldest villages in Corfu) is at the central part of the island, on the upper side of the internal bay of Corfu, at a distance of approximately 17km (or 20 minutes drive) from Corfu town, the airport and the main port.
The central part of the island offers the balanced mix of luscious green scenery, mountain slopes and sea that is typical of Corfu, as well as a variety of beaches and easy access to the amenities of the local resort-villages. The nearest beach for swimming is only 1.5km or a 5 minute drive away

Nature

Immersed in an olive grove and overlooking the sea, the villa can be an ideal base for hiking or trekking explorations of the surrounding landscape. If you love trekking along unique routes on natural mountain slopes, here you will find landscapes with wonderful views and rare flora (eg wild orchids), reaching up to the highest point of Corfu, mountain Pantokrator (914m height). If you are more inclined towards cycling rather than trekking, bicycles can be provided on request. As a matter of fact, cycling can be an ideal way of exploring the area and accessing nearby beaches.

Food & Dinning

Tavernas and restaurants are available locally, with the nearest one only 500m from the villa. Ipsos the closest village, located 2km to the East offers a range of options from greek fast-food grills to sea-food restaurant. Barbati is a further 4.5km away with its own selection of sea-front and sea-view restaurants and bars, including Piedra del Mar one of Corfu’s most eclectic places to eat that also offers beach access and a fully stocked bar. Further to the north lies the traditional fishing harbour of Kassiopi while there are plenty of exquisite beaches to be explored along the coast.

Local activities

If you are biking enthusiasts our villa is the ideal place to be. For your information the local mountain biking club organizes trips in the surrounding area and it will be very easy to join them as they pass in front of the villas gate.

Bedrooms:
Main bedroom: 41,8 sq.m.or 452 sq.f.The bedroom (A/C) includes a king size canopy bed with a TV placed on the bed ceiling. The window-door is leading to the loggia and to the pool. 2nd bedroom (A/C) has its own shower room(see photo) leads to the veranda.

Bathrooms:
The master bedroom includes its own Venetian marble overflow bath/pool (see photo) with huge shower over, with a separated WC and a …fountain as a sink. 2nd bedroom: it includes its own shower room (see photo) and washing machine.

Kitchen:
Coffee maker, toaster, iron & board, 4 ring stove, blender, cooking utensils, fridge, hob, microwave, spices, grill, coffee grinder, oven, dishwasher, freezer, lobster pot, and a wooden stove for traditional cooking…

Living Rooms:
The house is complimented by indoor/outdoor areas including a lounging day bed, a 3 sitter sofa with foot extension, home cinema in the living room with 52 in TV. Moreover, there is a hi-fi system with 715 songs available and a free wifi network.

Other:
The piéce de résistance is the garden itself,with a pool that overflows on the outer edge, the breakfast area, the old belvedere (relaxing area), the BBQ and the table tennis. Moreover, the library is equipped also with 340 English books (on demand).

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
Towels and linen are included, the property is cleaned 3 times a week and the towels and linen are changed twice a week. The pool is cleaned by two times a week and PH checked tree times a week.

Accessibility
Unfortunately the house was built 500 years ago and no care had be taken for the people with mobility problems, although is possible to arrive next to the window door of the 2nd bedroom with the car but not close to the pool.

Outside
Infinity style, the pool overflows on the outer edge so that the stunning view and the garden are laid out below as you swim! The size of the pool is 11 meters per 5,5 meters, and has 2.00 m in the deepest point and 80cm in the shallow part. The pool is private.

The golf course is the most beautiful in whole Greece and it attracts a big number of golf players from all around the world, it has a great landscape and it is also suited for walking.

Advance deposit of the 30% of the total amount is required to validate booking. The rest 70% of the amount one month before your arrival date.
